Synopsis: The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior

Kazunari Usa has finally achieved his dream of living independently from his parents when they allowed him to move into Kawai Complex, an old boarding house. Thanks to his landlady's home-cooked meals and his parents' rent assistance, Kazunari can now enjoy a peaceful life as he embarks on his high school journey. Or so he thought... Upon settling into Kawai Complex, Kazunari discovers that he has to share a room with resident masochist Shirosaki. He is also living with other quirky characters like Mayumi Nishikino, a hopeless romantic alcoholic, and Sayaka Watanabe, an apparently demure college student. Despite these oddities, Kazunari considers himself fortunate to be in the same building as Ritsu Kawai, a second-year student whom he has a crush on. As Kazunari adjusts to his new home, he soon realizes that the Kawai Complex's inhabitants are bound to throw a wrench into the peaceful life he had envisioned.
