Synopsis: Moriarty the Patriot

During the late 1800s, Britain emerged as a superpower, but the strict hierarchy based on social class prevented commoners from accessing the upper echelons which were governed by oppressive nobles. William James Moriarty, a gifted mathematics professor hailing from a privileged family as the second son, enjoys a life of luxury with his brothers Albert and Louis. Despite his privileged status, William offers his consultation services to the needy, while leading a group dedicated to challenging the old order and forging a new, improved world with his mild-mannered demeanor. In Yuukoku no Moriarty, the retelling of Arthur Conan Doyle's original story takes on a unique perspective by highlighting the antagonist's journey and explaining how he became the only "criminal consultant."
